How Do Air Purifying Products Work?

ECOS air purifying paint products contain a molecular sieve which is designed to both stop harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from being released into the air and to trap them as they float through a room. The sieve’s non-toxic crystalline tubes are designed to filter specific harmful VOCs, including formaldehyde, glycol, and benzene.

Using Air Purifying Products

Air purifying paint transforms the surfaces in your home into indoor air filters. These products are suitable for coating walls, ceilings, floors, cabinets, furniture, doors, and trim. They can also be used to seal a surface that’s releasing VOCs into the air. By trapping VOCs, the air purifying product stops them from escaping into the air and contaminating the indoor environment.

The result, you can turn every wall in your home into a giant filter, each one removing toxic chemicals from the air that you breathe.

HOW DOES AIR PURIFYING PAINT WORK?

ECOS air purifying paint contains a molecular sieve, designed to absorb a targeted range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the atmosphere. The sieve (a non-toxic, crystalline tube) is sized to allow small molecules such as nitrogen, or oxygen to pass unimpeded, while larger molecules (organic compounds) become trapped. As a result, ECOS air purifying paint continually filters the surrounding air. Over time, the paint may become saturated, which can be remedied simply by applying a fresh coat of paint.
