Before & After: Painted Glider Rocker

Lullaby 06/30/2013

Do you have an old glider rocker in need of a facelift? Maybe someone gave you a hand-me-down to help furnish your baby nursery, but it’s not quite fitting your design aesthetic?

Janelle, a Lullaby Paints customer, had an old glider rocker that needed some love. She told us:

“My parents gave me a glider rocker when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I used it a ton with her and her sister (who came three years later) and after over 10 years, not only is it still one of the most comfortable chairs in our home, it’s also a piece I can’t ever imagine getting rid of. Still, it was looking tired and worn and downright sad.

My 10 year-old daughter decided she wanted it as a reading chair in her room, so we worked together on a makeover that we felt would be “fun” enough for a kids’ room, but still classy enough for our main living space should we decide to use it elsewhere. We chose a navy Ikat upholstery (something trendy and fresh, but in a simple palette that will “age” well) and brightened the woodwork with a few coats of Lullaby Paint in French Blue. We LOVE the finished product!

Also, Lullaby Paints were amazing to work with. My husband has been working in the home remodeling business for almost 15 years and has done TONS of painting. He was super impressed with the paint quality and coverage. And, he thought the pouch packaging was genius! So much cleaner and easier to work with than a paint can.

Of course, the icing on the cake is using a product that’s non-toxic**. Love, love, love.

Thank you Lullaby!”
