We're honored to announce we are the first paint company to be listed in the Declare database; a platform of the Living Building Challenge, which is widely accepted to be the most advanced green building standard in the world!

“ECOS Paint has firmly established itself as a leader in the green building space and we are extremely proud to be the first paint company included in this industry leading database,” said Julian Crawford, CEO of ECOS Paints. “Our paints clearly demonstrate that you can create an extremely high quality product that is also non-toxic* and sustainable**. We’re thrilled to advance both the healthy and green building movements.”

*Conforms to ASTMD-4236, specifically concerning oral toxicity, skin irritation and respiratory effects. **We do not use ingredients identified as of concern in the Living Building Challenge Red List. Our products are certified Red List Free. For details see www.living-future.org/declare

Declare is a product database and label created to meet the Living Building Challenge, one of the building industry’s most rigorous and ambitious performance standard. Considered the 'nutrition label' for the industry, the Declare label offers unprecedented transparency into the ingredients, sourcing, and manufacturing of labeled products.

"ECOS Paints is blazing a new path as the world's first paint company to disclose all its ingredients using our Declare protocol, “ said Jason McLennan, CEO of the International Living Future Institute and founder of the Living Building Challenge. “This is real leadership towards a safer future where we know what's in our products."

In case you haven't heard, we also recently published our Health Product Declarations (integral to LEEDv4 compliance); making us the first paint company in North America to do so.
