ECOS Project Pick: A Non-Toxic Hardwood Floor Finish
Here at ECOS Paints we care passionately about both our products and the people that use them. Our paints and finishes were originally designed for people with multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), asthma, allergies, and issues with everyday chemicals. For twenty five years we’ve provided solutions for these people and today we’re sharing the story of one, Dasha, whose home needed major renovations. Check out her story and her gorgeous finished project using our hardwood floor finish.
Dasha was diagnosed with heavy metal toxicity and has been on a regimented program of detoxification under the care of a physician. After she and her husband’s home was damaged by ice storms, they needed to do some major work, which included installing new hardwood floors. Dasha did some research and found out that as of five years ago, all new hardwood floor finishes have Aluminum Oxide in them and using one of these products would have negatively affected her health and gone against her detoxification program. So, Dasha hunted around for a safer solution and discovered that ECOS Paints Woodshield Interior Varnish was going to be exactly what she needed to get her house back to looking good while supporting her journey back to health.
